Olympia Gauguet is a Franco-Greek filmmaker specializing in documentary cinema.

 

She began her academic journey with a degree in social anthropology, followed by a master’s in documentary filmmaking.​​ Based between Athens and Rhodes, she works as an independent director, videographer, and editor.

Among her notable projects is the short documentary Limbic, which is her first personal film. This film was her graduation project for her master’s degree and explores bipolar disorder in its entirety—from the perspective of the doctor, the friend, and the patient.

In 2024, Olympia Gauguet was selected to present one of her films at the La Rochelle International Film Festival, an event dedicated to independent and experimental cinema held in La Rochelle, France.

Her work stands out for its sensitive approach to issues of cultural identity, gender, and society, with a committed and contemporary documentary aesthetic.
